I paint using a combination of watered down acrylics and water color, usually on raw wood but sometimes on canvas or other surfaces.

Microscope art

In my research as a PhD student I studied brain development in microscopic worms using a type of genetic fluorescence marking that made specific neuron types fluoresce different colours. This was very pretty to look at throughout the microscope, so I took a series of photographs through the microscope of particularly lovely things I saw.
